First Beach trip of 2016

We spent Sunday morning with our suits on and sand between our toes,living in San Diego near the beach is such a blessing, and our first trip for 2016 didn't disappointing! 

Jude was a little hesitant at first of the water and sand, he doesn't enjoy being "messy" but about 30 minutes into our trip he was only in his diaper after splashing and throwing lots of mud. He even had a spill in a little water pool by the tide pools and got soaked but he got out and continued jumping and splashing.

Zoe loves collecting sea shells with me, and yesterday we collected so many unique shells, barnacles and drift wood. She also "warmed" up to the cool water and ended up splashing in the tide pools and climbed the jetty with her dad. 

Ian snapped a few pictures of me and my two boys before we left and I am so excited he did, I will cherish them forever. There is nothing like a little boy with warm salt water skin, smelling of sunscreen and a sand covered bum.
