NYC

We are cousins who were raised more like sisters. At 3 weeks apart (Elyse older) we have gone through just about every stage of life together. I cannot remember many monumental milestones that didn't include her smiling face.
As young children we enjoyed playing dress up, dolls, mystery investigators, but above all house. After being in each others weddings only a month apart and having both our kids within 6 months of each other I can happily say we still get to play house together. Our daily texts include what our kids are up to, who is sick, who won't nap, the status on how tired or annoyed we feel, what coffee drink we got at Target, or we will be planning our next trip to Disneyland together. It is nice to have a person in your life that just gets you. There isn't any hidden agenda, just a real loving and caring relationship.
This trip was planned in 9 days but I know we have been dreaming about a big trip together for years and that fact that we both just turned 30 and I have another baby on the way the timing was perfect.
Somehow we could talk both our parents into having our kids for five days (wasn't that hard luckily) get our flights booked, winter gear purchased, bags packed, home in order and run off together, with her Hubby Jeff whom we actually tagged along with on his business trip, in no time.
This was her first time to NYC so we had to add in a few major "must see" sights to our list of coffee shops, restaurants and shopping areas.

1. Rockefeller Center
2. Time Square
3.Central Park
4.Ground Zero Memorial
5. Boat ride to see the Statue of Liberty
6. Grand Central Terminal
7. Rockefeller "Top of the Rock" Observatory during the day and night
8. The High Line
9. Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge
10. Brooklyn Flea Market
11. Chelsea Market
12. Ride a taxi, boat, the subway and Uber
This was definitely a trip to remember and we both pray we can have more in the future.
