“Dance. Dance for the joy and breath of childhood. Dance for all children, including that child who is still somewhere entombed beneath the responsibility and skepticism of adulthood. Embrace the moment before it escapes from our grasp. For the only promise of childhood, of any childhood, is that it will someday end. And in the end, we must ask ourselves what we have given our children to take its place. And is it enough?”
Even though my job title is Mother, there are days I find it very difficult to make my children my priority (I am talking about while my hubby is at work and we are home all day). I choose house work, errands, television, computer work and chores before them. This is something I am trying to work on and consciously choose play and fun with them more often. This week we took advantage of a sunny morning at the beach instead of housework and errands.
